Topic Description
Many hospitals have a display at the room door (corridor) showing the room number and the names of the patients. This is often separately provided with IP-to-the device (much and expensive cable work), sometimes also via Wi-Fi (not always functioning well).
The patient names are automatically forwarded to these displays via ADT or other database.
The purpose of this internship is to update our 3.5” displays and let it show room number and patient name. This display can be connected via Bluetooth and/or wired from the Care Terminal and/or IP Room hub.
Tasks include:
* learn the development environment, the current code base of the display unit
* embedded development to change display information
* communication with server to fetch server software to store patient names in the room over a CAN bus to the room hub and from room hub to server
* optionally design a protocol between the main processor and BLE module
