In larger meetings, delegates can log in Conferencing equipment in order to expose personal data towards other delegates. This can include their name, their role, but also enables delegates to cast a vote in their name.
Traditionally, authentication is performed by using keycard badges or using a separate fingerprint device. This, however, proves cumbersome. The idea of this topic is to enable authentication by using mobile phones (via fingerprint, Face ID, or Apple Wallet) instead of badges. This approach allows us to rely on third-party vendors for fingerprint technology, eliminating the need for in-house implementation. Additionally, most participants already possess a mobile phone.
